1 BEURLING’S THEOREM AND L p − L q MORGAN’S THEOREM FOR STEP TWO NILPOTENT LIE GROUPS

A. We prove Beurling's theorem and L p − L q Morgan's theorem for step two nilpotent Lie groups. These two theorems together imply a group of uncertainty theorems. 1. I Roughly speaking the Uncertainty Principle says that " A nonzero function f and its Fourier transform f cannot be sharply localized simultaneously ". There are several ways of measuring localization of a functi...

On dimensions of derived algebra and central factor of a Lie algebra

Some Lie algebra analogues of Schur's theorem and its converses are presented. As a result, it is shown that for a capable Lie algebra L we always have dim L=Z(L) 2(dim(L2))2. We also give give some examples sup- porting our results.

Egoroff Theorem for Operator-Valued Measures in Locally Convex Cones

In this paper, we define the almost uniform convergence and the almost everywhere convergence for cone-valued functions with respect to an operator valued measure. We prove the Egoroff theorem for Pvalued functions and operator valued measure θ : R → L(P, Q), where R is a σ-ring of subsets of X≠ ∅, (P, V) is a quasi-full locally convex cone and (Q, W) is a locally ...

Topological Equivalence of Flows on Homogeneous Spaces, and Divergence of One-parameter Subgroups of Lie Groups

Let F and r' be lattices, and (p and 4> one-parameter subgroups of the connected Lie groups G and G'. If one of the following conditions (a), (b), or (c) hold, Theorem A states that if the induced flows on the homogeneous spaces G/T and G'/Y' are topologically equivalent, then they are topologically equivalent by an affine map. (a) G and G' are one-connected and nilpotent. (b) G and G' are one-...

Support Varieties for Quantum Groups

Given a root datum (Y,X, . . . ) and an odd integer l G.Lusztig defined a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra u over the cyclotomic field k := Q(ξ) where ξ is a primitive l−th root of unity, see [Lu1]. Suppose that l > h where h is the Coxeter number of the split reductive Lie algebra g over k associated to the root datum (Y,X, . . . ). In this case the cohomology H(u, k) of algebra u with trivial ...
